Hi all , trust you are all well and cycling fit . As we approach Summertime  (clocks change this weekend) Bicycle Buddy is gearing up for its 1 year Birthday Celebrations ! Its been a fantastic first year , having received lots of support and good wishes from Doncaster's cyclists.A big thank you to all my customers who have supported me over the last 12 months.I really do appreciate your warm support.

I had a mixed range of work over the last 12 months , from really enjoyable Tour supports, working locally with Sustrans, and building up a strong network of locally based customers. There have been some real challenges also ... stuck seat posts are as bad as everyone says ! I know from experience now !! Coaching children to ride their bike without stabilisers however is very rewarding !

More recently I ve been asked by a number of customers if I could arrange a ride for 'single cyclists' i.e people who want to do rides but don't have a partners or friend to ride with .I m planning to a leisure ride in May for anyone who wants to do leisure ride at  steady pace .... Also thinking of a 2 day Trans Pennine trip from Doncaster to Hornsea with a stop over in Howden .Watch this space for details or contact me if you would like more information.

OLD BIKE COLLECTIONS

I have made an agreement with Hayfield Wheelers Cycle Centre in Doncaster that I will collect any old bikes that you may want to get rid of so that I can donate them the Hatfield Wheelers Charity. The Charity is a fantastic community based intitative that really helps in a lot of ways . You can find out more via http://www.hayfieldwheelerscyclecentre.com/  Henry and his team will refurb the bikes and sell them via their showroom. Please note that they are a non profit making organisation.Have a look at their website to see the fantastic work they do .

If you are after a new bike please give Hayfield Wheelers a call as they have a great range of bikes available.

Henry (the Manager ) has agreed to pay me a small fee to cover the cost of my time and fuel for collecting the bikes, all bikes will go to Hayfield Wheelers.
SO PLEASE GIVE ME A CALL WHEN YOU ARE CLEANING OUT THE SHED OR GARAGE THIS  SPRING AND I LL COME AND TAKE AWAY THAT OLD BIKE !!

More recently I was invited by Sustrans to do a challenge for their Big Pedal Event which has taken part in schools across the UK... my involvement  was to ride The Way Of The Roses Route, all 170 miles in 1 day,   with Tom our local Bike It Officer  ! Well we did achieve our challenge and it was great fun along a fantastic route . We did the entire route in 17 hours with 13 hours of cycling and a few food and PR stops.Great fun.

Thats about it for now , once again thanks to all my customers and thanks again for the very supportive feedback that you have left on the BICYCLE BUDDY  web site .

Regards Chris .
